Cairo - Shell Exploration & Production (93) B.V., subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc., signed Farm Out Agreements (FOAs) with QatarEnergy, under which QatarEnergy will acquire 17% stake in each of Shell-operated Block 3 and Block 4 in the Egyptian Red Sea.

Cairo - Shell Egypt N.V. and Shell Austria GmbH (“Shell”), subsidiaries of Royal Dutch Shell plc., have completed the sale of their upstream assets in Egypt’s Western Desert to a consortium made up of subsidiaries of Cheiron Petroleum Corporation and Cairn Energy PLC for a base consideration of US$ 646 million and additional payments of up to $280 million between 2021 and 2024, contingent on the oil price and the results of further exploration.

Shell Egypt and one of its affiliates have entered into a SPA for their upstream assets in Egypt’s Western Desert with a consortium made up of subsidiaries of Cheiron Petroleum Corporation and Cairn Energy PLC for a base consideration of US$ 646 million and additional payments of up to $280 million between 2021 and 2024, contingent on the oil price and the results of further exploration.
